Hello PA Friends!
Last week I asked your help in bumping up to 500 subscribers on YouTube. Well you did it! And quite a bit more!
I'm now at 735 subscibers! I'm completely blown-away and my face everyday this week looks like that face on the RootsTech Recap Video above. š²
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
As I mentioned last week, once the PA Ancestors channel hits 1,000 subscribers, I can then begin earning income off the ads YouTube already runs on the channel. For the past three years of the podcast, its been all labor of love, so earning money finally would mean a lot. I plan to use some of it to put a gravestone in for my great grandparents who don't have one. You all know how important that is for genealogy to have graves marked!
Now onto to this week's episode:
If you have ancestors in Pennsylvania in the 17th & 18th century, knowing these four things will help your understanding of our records (and our history!).
These are the books I mentioned in the episode:
If you want to see an hour long presentation on The Disaffected by Aaron Sullivan it was recorded at The Athenaeum Philadelphia a few months ago https://youtu.be/EUSR4a6IJMoā

I'd love to hear what you'd like see on the podcast! Is there a guest you'd like to me interview? A topic you would love covered? Or perhaps something else?
āHere's how to let me know. I'll add the form to bottom of the newsletter so if you ever have a suggestion, its easy to submit.

Our Deep Dive this past week was on How I Research. I covered a project I did determining the place of birth of a man who died in Wisconsin in 1907 his death certificate listed birthplace as only "Pennsylvania." Members can sign in here to view it and download the proof arguments.
Members can sign up for the remaining Deep Dives here. If you would like to join as a member to access all my Deep Dive recordings, plus courses, visithttps://members.paancestors.comā
I help genealogists research their ancestors in Pennsylvania through books, workshops, and a membership community.
